Eating Disorders

Eating disorders can affect both women and men. People of all socioeconomic groups, race and culture are susceptible to eating disorders. Eating disorders are real and mental illnesses that need to be treated. This site will help you better understand what eating disorders are, who suffers from them and how you can find help for yourself or a loved one.

There are different types of eating disorders.  Anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa are the most common types. 
 
Binge eating disorder is another type of eating disorder that is growing in prevalance, especially among men.  Binge eating disorder is considered an EDNOS.  Any type of disordered eating is diagnosed and labeled as eating disorders not otherwise specified (EDNOS).
